If you suffer from symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, eating disorders, ADHD, or have a new and difficult adjustment in your life, I will perform a very detailed initial evaluation to better understand you and your personal situation. I will rapidly identify what your concerns and difficulties are, and I will do my best to help you by establishing a treatment plan.

I will discuss with you openly your diagnosis, as well as treatment options, such as medication and psychotherapy. After assessing your problem, I will be glad to provide you with suggestions about lifestyle modifications to help you reach your goals and maintain a stable and satisfactory quality of life.

My practice approach is based on Evidence-Based Psychopharmacology, Supportive and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. My treatment options are Psychotherapy ("talking" therapy), Psychopharmacology (prescription drugs) or both if necessary to achieve the best treatment.

As my practice standard, with the patient’s prior authorization, I will consult with therapists and other providers involved in your medical care. I will carefully review your medical records and any other medical conditions, as well as closely monitor medication interactions and/or side effects, in order to achieve integrated and comprehensive medical care.

I have a special interest in Psychosomatic Medicine, and with my strong background in Gynecology, I have special interest in treating females' issues from late adolescent through adulthood-including pregnancy and menopause. I am especially interested in providing treatment for adjustment disorder and mood disorders, particularly depression during the periods of pregnancy, postpartum and menopause. In addition, I treat mood disorders that accompany certain gastrointestinal diseases. I treat psychiatric issues related to medical conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease.

I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and as a native Spanish speaker, I can provide a complete psychiatric service in Spanish language.

Practice goal is to provide excellent, personalized, and compassionate care to all my patients. In order to provide you with a proper care, I will start with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, which includes a past medical history, family history, living situation, and environmental stressors. After my initial assessment I will provide you with a tailored treatment plan, which I will discuss with you, that better suits your needs.
